DAY 10 YAY last day :)

This being the last day I decided to go all out and be really out of my element and comfort zone, and I emprassed how I looked and hoped that the world would also accept me and acknowledge that all people have a choice of how they want to appear to the world and on this day I choice to embrass it and I got accptted by the world. I realised through these 10 days that every human being is just looked for a way to be accepted and fit into a certain class but also be acknowldged by every1 else as "normal". people in general want to be who they are and want to dress the way that they want but people also dont want to be judged becasue of they way they dress and as the society we live in now, we place so much value on material values and outwards apperances and phsyical pleasures that we fail to see what really matters. In this same way us as people also place the same amount of value on material values and buy into the fact that we have to look a a paticular way to be accpeted into a particular group or fall under a particular sterotype. the same way many "gay" people act like ladies and over do the normal acceptable behaviour that even most woman behave in, this is :accpeted" by society. we class people also into gropus of what is accpetable behaviour and what is also rebelious behaviour classed into 1 group.

My example would come from my hair, it is alos known for people who are into arts or even into drugs and "body modification" to have an outrageous hairstyles and person dress and body code, this is like an "accpetable- rebelious- norm" in society, in the way that society have classed even these people who are outspoken and a little outrageous into their own group. the society and world we live in is all controlled but what we know and what the rest of socirty wants us to know about woman, men, peoples appreance what whould be acceptable in certain areas and wants is also accpetable rebellious behaviour.

Day 9

This hairstyle was extremely annoying and i did not get much responce from it as I would have hoped and liked, a few people were laughing and whispering about me, which made me feel uncomfrotable, but also made me realise that people in out society are not very accepting of things that are differnt from us.

Day 8-- Jade's video

This is a video blog about my friend jade that also had an extermly differnt hairstyles and she speaks about what inspires her to do something so differnt and what it speaks about her charater. she is a very outgoing person, that know how to speaks whats on her mind and what she beleives in. in this video i also learnt that people are a refelct of what they should they use thier bodies in a way to send a message out to the world, and as the "world' we choose how to accept that message.

Nicki Minaj, (My hair role model)

NICKI MINAJ, although this is her stage name, many people still refer to her as. Onika Tanya Maraj. she is a female rapper that presents herself as a "black barbie"

Nikci comments on her image and says "[w]hen I grew up I saw females doing certain things, and I thought I had to do that exactly. The female rappers of my day spoke about sex a lot... and I thought that to have the success they got, I would have to represent the same thing. When in fact I didn’t have to represent the same thing."

She saw the rapping industry as something very sexual especially for females in this industry, so when she was growing up she thought she had to also represent something sexual and therefore she would be miss representing herself.

This especially for me to see a female like Nicki Minaj, who has an different approach to the sexual image that woman are "made" to portray in the rap and music industry. Her hair for me has also been a mixture of how she is staying true to herself, but also showing a bit of  adventure, femininity and also rebellion into what society wants us to believe and behave.

My 10 day intervention I choice Nicki as a role model as she is someone that always has outrageous hairstyles, but also as a public figure she uses her outwards appearance as something that only other people can see and this is not a true reflection of who she is.

Her outfits also match her outrageous hairstyles, but she mainly does this to put on a persona as a public figure, but behind all the fame and public appearances she is an ordinary woman.

Day 7

I personally liked this hairstyle as it was differnt but alos not too LOUD, outspoken or extavagent, it made a statemtn but a very shuttle one. a few girls were even intrested in where I got my hair styled and how much it costed, they almost saw me as a role model and wanted to copy my image. Females in socirty especially and more easily infulenced by what may look good and what may be outrageous but alos shuttle and acceptable. In this 20th Century female feel the need to look classic in a way and fit into socirty but also look unqiue and differnt, that is why we are so easily influenced but also so easy to target for new marketing promotions or anything.

My monster

This is an image of my next to my monster, this creation of my monster presents as in a way that colourful, i love wearing skirts and also have a traditional mix into me. the standing position also shows that I love dancing, traditonal, local hip hop or even just to any music. The flower-like image that is coming out of my head is where my mind always is in a happy and I love flowers and anything that has to do with nature and the nature things in life. the black-straps on my arms is my back pack that I am always carrying with me and has also become a part of who I am. The nature colours that i have choosen to represnt me, so that i am a humble person very down to earth.

Day 6

I returned for school and was in my pjames when I took this photo, this outrageous hairstyles also got alot of attention from people in the streets many "gay" people liked this particular styles as they "thought" it brought out alot of my "feminity". This just showed me that as this society we all fell drawn to certain things beacuse of sterotype, the gay people like things that are very outspoken and loud, beacuse they feel that society doesnt accept "them" as gay people. homosexual people is the correct term, so as some homosexual people feel unaccepted they do things that will draw peoples attention towards them in an outwards apperance, almost to say that they really dont care about society and what people thing. in this way I noticed that many homosexual people will applaude and congradulate people that are very physiclaly outspoken in thier dress and "rebel" againist society and the norm.
